Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson will look to turn back time when he laces up the gloves for one final boxing match against celebrity pugilist Jake Paul, a professionally sanctioned showdown scheduled for Fri., Nov. 15, 2024 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The Netflix-streamed fight card will also feature the super lightweight title fight rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, as well as the influencer battle pitting Neeraj Goyat against Whindersson Nunes.

Here’s the latest Netflix lineup:

Tyson vs. Paul Netflix Main Event (10 p.m. ET):

Heavyweight: Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul | Eight rounds

Tyson vs. Paul Netflix Undercard (8 p.m. ET):

140 lbs.: Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano | 10 rounds for super lightweight title
147 lbs.: Mario Barrios vs. Abel Ramos | 12 rounds for WBC welterweight title
160 lbs.: Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes | Four rounds

“This is taking the chance to fight somebody as vicious as Mike can be,” Paul said during Fanatics Fest earlier this year in New York. “You got to risk it for the biscuit. That’s the name of the game. I’m here to make history. I’m here for a challenge. I’m here to fight one of the most dangerous men in all of boxing. No one that ever did anything great got there with ease or by an easy, non-bumpy road. I’m here to challenge myself. He’s vicious. He’s a killer. I know all of these things. He has one-punch knockout power. He’s the greatest heavyweight of all time. But I will prove all the haters wrong.”

‘Tarzan’ Will Help Train ‘Poatan’ For UFC 307

Reigning UFC light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, will defend his 205-pound title against No. 8-ranked division bruiser, Khalil Rountree Jr., atop the upcoming UFC 307 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Sat., Oct. 5, 2024 at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

And he’ll get some help from a former opponent (and ex-middleweight champion).

“We have a good team,” Pereira said on YouTube. “Glover [Teixeira], Plinio [Cruz], Yousri [Belgaroui], Cesinha [Cesar Almeida], and Sean Strickland will be here with us next week. The whole crew is here, [I am] very happy, excited. With all this preparation, for me it’s been very good to do this, come three weeks earlier.”

Salt Lake City is known for its punishing altitude, nearly 4,300 feet above sea level.

Pereira (11-2) has been nothing short of unstoppable since migrating to the 205-pound weight class back in early 2023. “Poatan” is coming off three straight knockout victories over Jiri Prochazka (twice) and Jamahal Hill.

The Brazilian stopped Strickland by way of knockout at UFC 276 in summer 2022.

Rountree (13-5, 1 NC) is the winner of five straight, with four of those contests ending by way of knockout. That includes his UFC Vegas 83 destruction of one-time title challenger Anthony Smith back in late 2023.

‘Chaos’ Cranks Choke, Sleeps Lil Pump

by Site Admin ~ September 23rd, 2024

Kick – Lil Pump

‘Chaos’ isn’t known for his submission game, but that didn’t stop him from sleeping Lil Pump with a choke during a recent Kick stream from the rapper.

Colby Covington hasn’t been seen in the cage since a one-sided title fight loss to Leon Edwards in December 2023. Since then he’s been nursing a badly broken foot, and has turned down fights as he prepares for a strategic return to the welterweight division.

In the meantime, though, he’s taken the time to film a promotional video with rapper Lil Pump that shows he’s not planning on giving up his mantle as the most villainous fighter on the UFC’s roster.

A clip from an apparent grappling session with Lil Pump shows Covington catching the rapper in a choke and holding onto it as his helpless opponent taps multiple times. Rather than releasing the hold, Covington readjusts and puts the flailing Lil Pump to sleep.

“Look at his eyes, bro” Covington says as someone lifts the rapper’s legs up to get blood back into his brain. “He’s out. Look at his eyes. Holy!”

As Lil Pump regains consciousness and laughs, someone says “You went to sleep. For real.”

“Don’t miss my next kick stream,” Lil Pump declared on his Instagram alongside another view of the incident. “It’s getting crazier by the day. Don’t try this at home, I got put to sleep.”

Lil Pump is on a one month break from a world tour that has taken him from Australia to across Europe. In a week he’ll be performing in California before packing up and heading to Hong Kong, Nepal, and Thailand. MMA has become a passion for the 24-year-old, and in August he shared footage training with Colby, catching “Chaos” in his own choke.

“I’m 1-0 MMA, who should I fight next?” he captioned the video.

“Coming for blood in the rematch,” Covington replied in the comments.

It seems he wasn’t kidding.

Construction ‘Machine’ Kept Working Full Time Til 2020

Dvalishvili was working a full time construction job up until 2020 to stay in America and pursue his dream of becoming champ.

It’s been a long road for Merab Dvalishvili to become UFC bantamweight champion. The Georgian fighter has been toiling since 2014 as a pro in mixed martial arts, and even when he joined the UFC in 2017 he had to keep his job in construction to pay the bills.

In a new interview with Jake Shields, Dvalishvili revealed that it wasn’t until 2020 that he was able to focus on his UFC career full time, and that was only because the COVID-19 pandemic shut everything down.

“So I lost my first fight in UFC, and we know how UFC pay It’s not well in the beginning,” Merab said. “$ 10,000 and you still have to pay your manager and some expenses. I buy car. I was driving very old car, and then no money. In my second fight, I got bonus, but I take off, I stop working. But when my next fight comes, I was broke again because I spent all this money. And I’m like like, now what?”

“When I win the next one, I keep this money and I stay working,” he said. “Because I don’t want [to be broke] again.”

Dvalishvili said there were a lot of expenses making sure his immigration papers kept moving, which kept him returning to work. Earlier this year he finally became a U.S. citizen and moved from New York to Las Vegas where he trains with John Wood at Syndicate MMA. He still has a lot of loyalty to his New York City coaches Ray Longo and Matt Serra … but he prefers the traffic situation in Vegas.

“Now that I have a good training in Vegas, I have so many training partners,” he said. “I can go jujitsu. I can sparring, the MMA practice. So I rather do that.”

Despite losing a largely one-sided contest to Dvalishvili at UC 306, Sean O’Malley is still making a lot of noise about beating Merab. None of that bothers “The Machine,” though.

“I’m not mad or something. I can have fun now. Make fun with him,” he said. “I would love to rematch with him. I think it’s gonna be so next time, I will finish him. But how I beat him, I don’t even think he will take a next challenge.”

For now he’s preparing for the next number one contender, which is looking like Umar Nurmagomedov.

“I think the the most deserving guy is Figueiredo,” he reiterated. “But I guess UFC wants to me fight Umar. All the people, I see their comments, everybody wants me to fight Omar. So I will fight Omar.”

Is AJ Vs. Fury Dead?

by Site Admin ~ September 22nd, 2024

Anthony Joshua v Francis Ngannou Press Conference

The biggest heavyweight superfight out there can still possibly happen, as Saudi money man Turki Alalshikh has said he intends to make it happen despite Saturday’s result.

Is Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury a dead fight after “AJ” was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in the 5th round of their championship fight this weekend? Not according to Fury’s manager Spencer Brown, who said there’s still big desire from Saudi boxing power broker Turki Alalshikh to make the fight happen.

“Maybe we see Tyson against Anthony Joshua,” Brown told FightHubTV’s Marcos Villegas. “They’ve always said they’re going to fight each other and His Excellency also said that win, lose, or draw he wants them to fight each other.”

The heavyweight division is certainly getting more cluttered as Fury and Joshua struggle with opponents like Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois. A fight between the two would still be huge, but not as huge as if they’d faced each other years ago when they were both undefeated. And now Joshua’s loss is pulling Fury towards a Dubois fight instead.

“When I fight Usyk in December, I’ll take all the belts that I never should have lost,” he told FightHubTV. “And then I’ll fight Dubois and take that [belt] off him as well. That’s my plan.”

It could be that those wanting to see Fury vs. Joshua now have to hope that Fury loses to Usyk in December. For his part, “The Gypsy King” didn’t kick “AJ” while he was down.

“It’s heavyweight boxing, boys,” he said of Joshua’s loss. “It happens. S— happens. You get knocked spark out. It could have been me, it could have been you, it could have been anybody. In the heavyweight division, it’s what happens. One punch away from being smashed, knocked out. What went wrong is what always goes wrong in heavyweight boxing: a good right hand to the chin, and that was it.”

Following the defeat, there was a lot of talk that Joshua should retire. But the 34-year-old pushed back on that during the post-fight press conference.

“You’re probably asking, do I still want to continue fighting?” he said. “Of course I want to continue fighting. We took a shot at success and we came up short. What does that mean now, are we going to run away? We’re going to live to fight another day. That’s what I am: a warrior.”

“We rolled the dice for the third time. That’s thirteen world title fights, and not every one has been successful, but every one has been fine and entertaining. We’re trying to create history for British boxing, and I think we’re doing that.”

Anthony Joshua v Daniel Dubois: Riyadh Season - Wembley Edition

The fight world witnessed Daniel Dubois faceplant knockout Anthony Joshua earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 21, 2024) LIVE on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Wembley Arena in London, England. This included former UFC champion Conor McGregor and former heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury, you were watching the huge main event ringside.

Despite Fury or Oleksandr Usyk not being part of this weekend’s festivities, the matchup between Joshua and Dubois still packed out Wembley Arena with a record-breaking 96,000 fight fans. The hype surrounding this battle of English heavyweights was almost immeasurable. The event brought out some of the biggest names in combat sports and was a true spectacle from start to finish.

Unfortunately for Joshua, he wasn’t ready for the power of Dubois. The reigning IBF heavyweight champion landed big shot after big shot over the first few rounds to score multiple knockdowns against Joshua. Fight fans have seen Joshua get hurt before only to regroup and mount a comeback, but this was different. Dubois was simply too strong and and put the finishing touches on his landslide victory with a titanic knockout in the fifth round.

The finish shocked those in attendance and the thousands upon thousands of fans watching at home. Sitting front row was McGregor and Fury. Both frequent these type of fights, but it was especially more intriguing for “Gypsy King” as he could very well fight Joshua or Dubois in 2025. Both of their reactions were priceless and told the entire story of this one-sided main event.

Check out McGregor and Fury’s reaction below:

McGregor Uncertain Of UFC Future Beyond 2025

by Site Admin ~ September 21st, 2024

Katie Taylor v Chantelle Cameron - Undisputed Super Lightweight Championship

Conor McGregor joined the festivities earlier today (Sat., Sept. 21, 2024) at the ‘Joshua vs. Dubois’ mega-event live on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Wembley Arena in London, England, and the former UFC double champion ended up talking about his own fighting future.

In case you forgot, McGregor has been riding the sidelines since suffering a leg injury in his trilogy with Dustin Poirier back in July 2021. That is a massive layoff for any fighter, especially one who has so much else going on outside of the cage. McGregor eventually made a full recovery and was booked to meet Michael Chandler at UFC 303 this past July. Unfortunately, “Notorious” suffered a broken toe and was forced out of the fight.

Despite receiving a lot of backlash for his injury it was the first time in his UFC career that McGregor withdrew from a bout. He’s usually the one taking fights on short notice and accepting any type of opponent just to stay on a card.

McGregor’s long-awaited return hit another snag earlier this month when Chandler booked a rematch against former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira for UFC 309 this November. Chandler was not willing to wait any longer for McGregor, but left the door open for a potential matchup in 2025.

While fight fans were hoping to see the Irish superstar compete in 2024, all signs put to McGregor returning next year. He echoed the same sentiment to Ariel Helwani during a backstage interview at ‘Joshua vs. Dubois’ on Saturday. Check it out below:

“It’ll be 2025,” said McGregor when asked when he’ll return to fighting. “We’ll see. My opponent [Michael Chandler] that I had scheduled has got matched.”

“It is what it is,” replied the former UFC champion about Chandler jumping ship. “I just take it on board and rock on. My job is to go to the gym, be in the gym, and be in shape. One thing is for sure. Whenever it is and wherever it is, I will be 100 percent ready. That’s all I can focus on right now.”

“I must,” said McGregor when asked if he’s going to fight twice in 2025. “It’s the promised land. We’ll see.”

Helwani then inquired what might be next for “Notorious” after he fights out his UFC contract. The former UFC champion expressed uncertainty beyond next year.

“I don’t even know,” he said. “I don’t think anyone in the space knows. I’m the highest generating fighter on planet earth right now. What happens after this as I’m a free agent I’m not so sure.”

‘I Don’t Give A F—k Who Wins’

by Site Admin ~ September 21st, 2024

Knockout Chaos - Anthony Joshua v Francis Ngannou: Fight Night

There will be a record-setting 96,000 fans packed into Wembley Arena to see Anthony Joshua fight Daniel Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title later today (Sat., Sept. 21, 2024) LIVE on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from London, England, but one U.K. boxing star has no interest in the main event title fight.

Joshua, who remains one of boxing’s biggest stars despite not currently holding a major title, has been long compared to fellow English heavyweight, Tyson Fury. A matchup between the two has been a long time coming, but for one reason or another the two fighters have never met inside of the ring. That could change in the future, but for now they are left to watch each other compete.

Unfortunately for Joshua, “Gypsy King” doesn’t have much interest at all in watching his title fight with Dubois this weekend in London. Fury is already booked for his awaited rematch against heavyweight superstar Oleksandr Usyk this December and doesn’t have much at stake when it comes to Joshua and Dubois, who considers to be “divvies.”

“I don’t know. I don’t really care to be honest,” Fury told IFL TV when asked who will win Saturday’s heavyweight clash. “I’ve got my fight with Oleksandr Usyk to deal with, that’s what I’m thinking about, I’m not thinking about who wins out of these two divvies… I don’t give a f—k who wins.”

Fury may not care who wins tonight’s matchup in London, but the entire boxing universe does. That’s because Joshua could line himself up for another heavyweight superfight if he’s able to get past Dubois and capture another world title. It could even line him up for a showdown with Fury in 2025, whether or not “Gypsy King” wins back his title from Usyk.

“He got a gift decision over the Gypsy King, end of… It is what it is, it’s over now,” added Fury when discussing his upcoming rematch with Usyk. “They’ve took my virginity unfairly. It’d probably feel weird if I’d done it for £50, but considering I got broke in for a lot of money it doesn’t really matter. It is what it is, you can’t undo a decision, but I’ve got the chance to do it again in December, and that’s what we’ll do. I will knock him out.”

Fight fans witnessed a long list of memorable action inside of the boxing ring on Friday night (Sept. 20, 2024), but not everything ended in a flashy finish. Instead, one of boxing’s most exciting heavyweight prospects saw a knockout win slip through his hands after his opponent was unable to keep his mouthpiece in.

After Callum Walsh delivered a brutal knockout finish in his Ireland debut it was Top Rank Boxing’s turn to showcase even more young talent inside the squared circle. This included a Friday clash between undefeated heavyweight up-and-comer, Richard Torrez, and veteran fighter, Joey Dawejko. Torrez, who is a 25-year-old wrecking machine, was the heavy betting favorite to not only walk away with a win but also another knockout to his name.

Torrez looked to be on his way to just that as he landed power shots that rattled Dawejko early and were even strong enough to knock his mouthpiece out. Surprisingly, Dawejko lasted a few more rounds than expected. Torrez was turning the heat up in the middle rounds, but after repeatedly losing his mouthpiece inside of the ring Dawejko ended up getting disqualified by the referee.

It’s a rare stoppage because usually fighters get properly fitted for a mouthpiece and the only way they lose it is if they get absolutely rocked by a punch. Still, Dawejko kept having issues keeping his mouthpiece in place and the referee wasn’t going to let him fight unprotected against a proven knockout artist like Torrez.

Check out the action from the fight below including the unfortunate stoppage:
