Paddy Pimblett is known for not taking his diet too seriously outside of competition, and this time is no different.

The Liverpool native often bulks up between fights and fans are openly worried about the health risks it may present in the long run. Despite the continous fears, the scouser is taking an ‘if it’s not broken, don’t fix it’ approach to things.

Silencing the doubters, Paddy Pimblett managed to put on an all-timer performance where he choked Bobby Green to sleep at UFC 304. In spite of his new #15 ranking next to his name, Pimblett is still over-indulging in food in-between fights.

Just one week after the biggest win of his UFC career, the natural 155er can now almost compete alongside light heavyweight kingpin Alex Pereira.

Pimblett piled on an enormous amount of weight during a family holiday to Tenerife post UFC 304. The global star weighed close to 200 lbs after returning from Spain, gaining over 40 lbs in just one week — and completely transforming his facial structure in the process.

“Back from [Tenerife],” Pimblett said in a recently released vlog uploaded to his YouTube channel. “Probably start getting called a fat c*** by everyone.”

“I didn’t do too bad. Didn’t do great, though, at the same time. Still a bit chubby.”

“I’m not as fat as I have been but I’m still a bit chubby. We were eating all sorts, lad. Chinese’s, Thai’s, steaks, burgers, and sh*t.”

After the holiday, Pimblett was wasting no time in shredding off the extra pounds. The Brit went straight back to NextGen to put in the work for his next UFC outing.

“I’m still looking forward to some scans here. But, I just need to train. That’s the main thing, lad.”

“Obviously, eating copious amounts of food doesn’t help with your weight, but when I don’t train, I put weight on.”

Jon Jones doxxes himself or plays epic prank

by Site Admin ~ August 12th, 2024

Amid the ongoing rollercoaster that surrounds his UFC return, Jon Jones is still finding time to have fun.

‘Bones’ is widely regarded as one of the greatest combat sports athletes ever. Despite his accolades in mixed martial arts, some believe he is afraid to put his legacy on the line against the younger, hungrier contender Tom Aspinall.

After months of defending his choice not to fight Aspinall next, Jon Jones has given up responding to fans. Now, Jones has instead used them to play a prank on a mystery person.

In a post on social media, the UFC heavyweight champion posted a phone number. In a message adjacent to the number, the 37-year-old urged fans to text and call if they want him to agree to the aforementioned Tom Aspinall challenge.

“If you want me to fight Tom, call and text me,” Jones stated in a post on X. “I’ll respond for the next few days.”

Supporters instantly realized that Jon Jones was playing a prank. While it’s unclear which unfortunate person will be receiving countless phone calls and text messages for the next few weeks, the picture clearly shows that they have ties to Greenview, Illinois.

However, this wasn’t the last time we heard from him on the matter. Jones later wrote another post on social media, pressing fans to continue texting the number until they get a response.

“If the phone ends up getting turned off, just keep texting,” Jones said. “You’ll get a reply soon.”

This comes just days after Jon Jones dropped a bombshell on the world. While Jones will be competing against Stipe Miocic — likely later this year — it very well may be his final fight inside the octagon.

If both Jones and Miocic retire following their rumored bout, Tom Aspinall will most probably see his interim title upgraded to undisputed.

Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have been embroiled in a deep rivalry, and recent footage further proves that.

When the two icons met inside the cage, Khabib was the newly crowned UFC lightweight king after capturing the vacant strap. McGregor was the opposite, coming back from a two year octagon layoff in hopes of recapturing gold that was once his.

It seems with each passing month, Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s rivalry worsens. While it’s old footage, UFC released a video from their fight in 2018.

Fans now get to witness what was said during the intense moments in-between rounds. The video shows a tired McGregor being consoled and pushed by his head coach, John Kavanagh. On the other side of the cage, we see Khabib accompanied by long-term friend and training partner Islam Makhachev.

‘The Eagle’ stares down his opponent before muttering the words ‘f***ing b*tch’. The noise in the arena grew but the dejected Irishman sat and listened to his corners advice — instead of being a great showman as he often is.

Check out the brief but thrilling video of Conof McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov below.

What’s next for Conor McGregor?

Despite promises of his return, Conor McGregor hasn’t competed under the UFC banner in over three years.

‘The Notorious’ last made the walk to the octagon in a trilogy clash against Dustin Poirier. The bout was cut short when the former two-division UFC champion horrifically broke his leg.

Since then, all eyes have been on a potential comeback for the Dublin native. Rumors began heating up and a potential fight date was confirmed for a Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler matchup.

Unfortunately for fans, this still hasn’t come to fruition and doubts continue to surround the fight. At 36, time isn’t on the side of McGregor and it’s unclear whether he’ll step into the octagon in the future.

Bryce Mitchell hasn’t held back his disdain for Elon Musk in recent months and that hatred continues to pile up.

‘Thug Nasty’ is known for being quite peculiar outside of fighting and sometimes receives backlash for his outlandish views. However, the UFC star is incredibly passionate about his beliefs and nobody is going to stop him from speaking his truths.

As he often does, Bryce Mitchell has taken aim at Elon Musk and his businesses. This time, Mitchell targeted the Cybertruck, comparing it to trucks made over 30 years ago.

“Hey, Elon Musk. You can take that Cybertruck right to hell,” Mitchell said in a post on social media. “Right where it belongs, buddy.”

“This is what a real truck looks like. This is a 7.3 IDI, it’s a ’91. Let me show you something that this is going to do that your Cybertruck is never going to do.”

“Elon Musk, you can kiss my a**, buddy. You see that? 670,000 miles. You see that? You’re never going to get that out of your Cybertruck. Hell, you’re not even going to get that out of your modern diesel’s.”

Mitchell continued, blaming modern-age ordeals for ruining the state of trucks.

“There is a conspiracy against the farmer, against the working man,” Mitchel said. “These politicians are so out of touch with reality, they don’t even know what’s going on…”

“I’m telling you right now, they’re making our trucks, as the years go by, they’re making them more expensive. They’re making them rely on Chinese electronics and they’re making them break.”

“I paid $ 3k for this truck. $ 3k, guys. It starts up everytime, goes anywhere I need it to go. Now, it’s built in ’91. You’re telling me that thirty something years later we can’t build a truck that lasts half as long as this?”

“Guys, everything is going backwards. I’m telling you, we used to have it good as a country.”

Mitchell believes people will revert back to using older trucks over Musk’s Cybertruck due to their longevity and price tag.

“There will be a time where we resort back to these style of trucks out of necessity. We won’t have an option because people can’t afford a $ 100k truck that breaks down after 200,000 miles.”

“This is what a real man’s truck looks like. Like I said, Cybertruck’s, you’re all a bunch of p***ies. That’s a real truck right there, for real men and all you politicians, it’s a shame what you’ve done to this country.”

“It’s a shame what you’ve done to our tractors, our trucks, they all suck. I wish our tractors would go back to how they were in the 60s. I wish our trucks would go back to how they were in the 60s.”

“Like I said, I have hope that one day they will out of necessity. The people are going to rise up and we’re going to get our freedom back, baby.”

Middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis will put his title on the line for the first time at UFC 305 on Aug. 18 against former two-time titleholder Israel Adesanya.

Du Plessis admittedly does not like Adesanya, and Adesanya feels the same way about “Stillknocks.”  After Du Plessis defeated former champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 290, Adesanya entered the octagon and verbally insulted Du Plessis as the South African remained calm.  Considering his interaction with Adesanya after his win over Whittaker, Du Plessis was asked if he believes that he’s in Adesanya’s head leading up to their UFC 305 grudge-match.

“If I’m in his head, I can’t tell you.  He feels the energy.  I can tell you that much,” Du Plessis told SHAK MMA.  “I made the statement that his fire is gone and I don’t believe that.  I think the fire is still there.  I just believe my fire is just, his fire is insignificant to mine.

“The passion and fire that I have in me, the passion burning is overshadowing his.  That’s why I can’t even see his fire, and I can’t feel it because the fire burning inside of me is so intense,” Du Plessis continued.  “Do I think I’m in his head?  Maybe not, but I do know that he’s in his own head.  That’s for sure.”

UFC 305 takes place at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.  The event will mark the fight promotion’s third time hosting an event in Perth.

Middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis puts his title on the line for the first time at UFC 305 in Perth, Australia against former two-time titleholder Israel Adesanya.  Du Plessis plans to win that fight and move on to the next opponent.

Du Plessis captured the title by defeating Sean Strickland via split decision at UFC 294 in January, and Strickland has been calling for a rematch since the judges’ scorecards were read by Bruce Buffer.  But Du Plessis thinks Strickland will have to ‘wait a while’ before he fights for the title again.

“The winner of Khamzat [Chimaev] and Robert Whittaker is going to get the title shot.  That’s going to happen,” Du Plessis told SHAK MMA.  “Strickland says he’s going to wait until he gets a title shot.  He’s going to wait for quite a while.  In my opinion, he’s going to wait for a while.”

Du Plessis doesn’t really care who he faces after Adesanya, assuming he defeats “The Last Stylebender” on Aug. 18th.  Whittaker and Strickland both have solid cases to be next in line, but Du Plessis believes the fight promotion wants Chimaev to fight for the championship if it had its choice.

“If Whittaker beats Khamzat, a three-fight win streak, he’s 100-percent getting the title shot. The UFC has been wanting to give Khamzat a title shot since his debut,” Du Plessis said. “Maybe if it’s a draw, and Khamzat will still get the title shot in my opinion.”

“For me, it’s about the fight the fans want to see; which one is going to be the biggest fight; which fight is the one the fans think is going to be the best fight?  I want to fight the best guy in the world every single time,” Du Plessis continued.  “Honestly, it makes no difference to me who steps in there.”

As the 2024 election moves closer, Dana White joined CNN to give his thoughts on some political questions.

Things turned sour when Dana was presented with a question about Donald Trump. The UFC CEO has long been a strong admirer of Trump and defends the former president of the United States at any opportunity he gets.

During an appearance on CNN with Laura Coates, Dana White gave his thoughts on the 2024 presidential race and revealed his thoughts on Kamala Harris.

“Yeah, I don’t judge people by their politics and who they vote for or any of that stuff,” Dana said. “I don’t know Kamala. She seems like she’s a nice person.”

“I have nothing against her whatsoever, and like I said, I’m not political. But do I think that she is fit for the job? I do not.”

“Politics are the most disgusting, nasty, it’s atrocious what is said in politics. And things that are being said on one side are being said on the other side, too.”

“[Similar things are being said] about Trump and, you know, his choice for vice president. It goes both ways. This isn’t like, ‘Oh my god, look what’s being said about Kamala.’ It goes both ways.”

“They’re both saying it, and like you said, it’s already heated up and gotten nasty. And like you said earlier, it’s only going to get nastier. That’s politics. It is what it is and it definitely goes both ways.”

He later defended Trump’s comments, insisting that anything said between both parties ahead of the election shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

“But either way, [Kamala Harris is] going to say other nasty stuff. It goes both ways.”

“As voters, what we need to do is cut through all the BS, and you have to look at who do you think is best fit to run the country for the next four years.”

“That is our job as voters. All of this stuff is a bunch of nasty BS. All of it. Who’s best fit to run the country? You as a voter, that’s what you need to decide.”

“Not, ‘Oh my god, he said this.’ And, ‘Oh my god, she said that.’ There’s going to be a lot of that over the next several months.”

Dana White then took aim at the media, insinuating that they also cause problems amongst voters.

“Especially the media. Cut through all the BS [from] the media on both sides.”

“You guys are really bad. FOX is bad. Everybody is bad. Cut through the BS and vote for who you think is the most fit to run the country. That’s our job as voters.”
