We are just over 24 hours away from one of the most loaded events of the year as UFC 304 gets underway tomorrow night (Sat., July 27, 2024) live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Co-op Live in Manchester, England. It will feature two title fights and some of the fastest-rising contenders on the roster.
Leading the way will be a main event rematch pitting reigning UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards against streaking contender Belal Muhammad. Edwards is riding a 12-fight win streak and coming off two-straight title defenses, while “Remember The Name” has won his last nine trips to the cage. It is a massive matchup between two of the very best fighters in the world today.
Adding to the mix will be a co-headliner pitting interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall against veteran contender Curtis Blaydes. These two met back in 2022, but Aspinall ended up blowing out his knee in the opening seconds of the fight. This is a rematch two years in the making and a clash of the two best heavyweights in the world not named Jon Jones.
On Friday, UFC 304 fighters stepped on stage for final staredowns and one last chance to strike fear into their opponent. Some of them required instant security, while others were cordial. Check out the action below:

Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad are both full of confidence.
This Saturday, Edwards puts his welterweight title on the line against Muhammad in the main event of UFC 304, which goes down at the Co-op Live in Manchester, England. For months, tension has been building up between the two former foes, with both men exchanging heated comments at the pre-fight press conference. The two then met face-to-face for the final time ahead of their bout at the ceremonial weigh ins on Friday, and afterward, Muhammad had a message for the raucous British crowd.
“All these boos tomorrow are going to be tears,” Muhammad said. “Head shot, dead. Your boy is going to sleep! And new, inshallah. That’s my family right there, that’s all I care about. The rest of you guys, tomorrow night, cry about it. It’s over for you guys! England is going to lose again!”
Edwards had a different message for his countrymen, one that the fans were much happier about.
“Manchester! Listen, forget what he says,” Edwards declared.” Thanks for turning out, Manchester. Tomorrow night, he’s as good as dead. He’s too slow, too small, I’m knocking him the f*ck out.”
Also taking place at UFC 304, interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall runs things back with Curtis Blaydes for the interim heavyweight belt in the co-main event. And while Edwards and Muhammad have been at each others’ throats all week, Aspinall and Blaydes have been highly respectful of one another, something that carried through their final faceoffs.
“It’s past my bedtime,” Blaydes said. “I’m trying to get back and get to sleep, give y’all a fight tomorrow night.”
“First of all, thanks everyone for coming,” Aspinall followed up with. “This is my absolute dream. Me and Curtis have some unfinished business. I’m going to settle it right here on Saturday night.”
The other big event for these ceremonial weigh ins was the near brawl that happened with regard to the undercard fight between Muhammad Mokaev and Manel Kape. Earlier this week Mokaev and Kape got into a brawl at the fighter hotel and things nearly kicked off again the moment both men stepped foot on stage. Only intervention by security prevented anything from going south, and ultimately the two didn’t even get to share a faceoff, such is the animosity between them.

The fighters competing on Saturday’s UFC 304 fight card officially weighed in earlier today but will participate in the event’s ceremonial weigh-in at 2 p.m. ET.
In the main event, Birmingham’s Leon Edwardsputs his welterweight title on the line against second-ranked Belal Muhammad in a rematch. In the co-main event, Tom Aspinall defends his interim heavyweight championship belt against fourth-ranked Curtis Blaydes also in a rematch.

Paddy Pimblett will be a UFC fighter for the foreseeable future.
“The Baddy” celebrated a new contract on the latest episode of UFC Embedded ahead of this Saturday’s UFC 304 event in Manchester, England, where he fights King Green in a lightweight bout on the main card.
Earlier this week, Pimblett discussed the Green fight being the last bout on his current UFC deal, suggesting that he could be open to parting ways with the promotion and boxing “stupid YouTubers.” However, it turns out that the popular Scouser is here to stay.
Watch Pimblett’s comments from Embedded below.
“New contract signed,” Pimblett said. “For all them [expletive] saying that I’m going anywhere, I’m not going nowhere, [expletive].”
Daniel Cormier was first to report the lightweight re-signing, mentioning that Pimblett had inked a new deal on the official UFC 304 weigh-in show.
Pimblett’s manager Graham Boylen also confirmed the news.
The terms of Pimblett’s contract have not been revealed.
Pimblett (21-3) joined the UFC in 2021 with plenty of hype behind him after emerging as a star in England’s Cage Warriors promotion. He is 5-0 inside the octagon so far, including a recent unanimous decision win over longtime fan favorite Tony Ferguson.
