Gokhan Saricam has the dubious honor of becoming the first athlete to face suspension from the United States Anti-Doping Agency after partnering with the PFL to launch a new anti-doping program.

USADA officials announced on Thursday that Saricam has been suspended for one year after testing positive for the banned substance clomiphene and its metabolites.

“Saricam, 33, tested positive for clomiphene and its metabolites as the result of samples collected out-of-competition on April 29, 2024 and May 12, 2024,” USADA officials said in a statement. “Because Saricam was not yet notified of the positive tests after both samples were collected, they were treated as a single violation. Clomiphene is a Specified Substance in the class of Hormone and Metabolic Modulators and is prohibited at all times under the PFL Anti-Doping Policy and PFL Prohibited List.

“Saricam’s one-year period of ineligibility began on April 29, 2024, the date his first positive sample was collected.”

Saricam’s eligibility to compete again happens after April 29, 2025.

While Saricam is part of the PFL roster, he’s yet to actually compete for the promotion after he was schedule to debut in June but ultimately did not fight.

Prior to his move to the PFL, Saricam competed under the Bellator banner where he put together a 5-2 record including wins over Daniel James and Kirill Sidelnikov.

He’ll now have to wait until at least 2025 before he competes again.

The suspension from USADA comes after the PFL partnered with the anti-doping agency following a flurry of positive drug tests that ran rampant through the promotion’s 2023 season. A total of nine fighters tested positive for banned substances while competing in Nevada, which led to the promotion creating an anti-doping program.

Of course, USADA previously administered the UFC’s anti-doping program but the companies split at the end of 2023 in a tumultuous breakup. USADA then moved on to partner with the PFL on a new anti-doping program that launched in 2024.

Bryce Mitchell isn’t a fan of ‘fake’ Elon Musk and let his thoughts be known during a recent interview.

‘Thug Nasty’ isn’t afraid to share his personal beliefs and religious views, no matter who it may upset. The UFC featherweight often finds time to speak his truths for fans, and his time spent on the PBD Podcast was no different.

While speaking with Patrick Bet-David, Bryce Mitchell opened up about his outlook on Elon Musk. Mitchell insists Musk is fooling the world and essentially hiding his true evil.

“Somebody that has fooled everybody, but he simply cannot fool me — Elon Musk.” Mitchell claimed.

“I think that he could possibly be, now I could be wrong. I could be completely wrong, but based off of what I think, he could possibly be the false prophet who presents the mark of the beast to the world and presents the Antichrist on the world stage. That’s how evil I think he is.”

Mitchell later explained his thoughts, revealing exactly why he believes Elon Musk to be the false prophet.

“So, why do I think it’s Elon Musk? Well, there’s two pieces of evidence that are more significant than any other pieces of evidence.”

“One, it says in Revelations the false prophet will deceive with fire from the sky. Elon Musk has this fake space program called Space X, and let me tell you, he hasn’t been past the firmament. No man has ever been past the firmament.”

“He has not been in space, he has not put a rocket on Mars, he’s not done anything he said he did. He’s not a scientist, he’s not a propulsion engineer, he doesn’t make electric cars, he pays people to do it for him. He’s one of the greatest scammers humanity has ever seen.”

“I think he’s actually a step further than just a con-artist, I think he’s evil embodied. And I can say that with confidence because, like I said, one piece of scripture, the false prophet will deceive with fire from the sky.”

Mitchell continued, giving more reasons for why he links Elon Musk with evil.

“Here’s another piece of evidence. Elon Musk is inventing chips that are going into people’s brains. And I’m telling you, that is the behavior to look for when you’re talking about the Antichrist.”

“There’s going to be a mark in everybody’s head and there’s going to be a mark on their hand. That’s what they call the mark of the beast, and I’m telling you Elon Musk, if he hasn’t invented the mark of the beast yet, he is laying the groundwork for the Antichrist to take that mark of the beast and implement it on all humans.”

“Elon Musk has actually put a chip in somebody’s brain and convinced them that they’re healthier now. I’m telling you, that’s beyond a con-artist. That is evil embodied.”

“To lie to somebody to the degree that you can tell them, ‘Hey, put this chip in your brain and I’ll help you.’ He’s going to convince millions of people to put that chip in their brain. And I’m telling you right now, he sounds like the false prophet and the false prophet is going to present the Antichrist.”

Bryce Mitchell later targeted Elon Musk’s uber-popular company’s, insisting that those who align themselves with Musk’s products are enabling evil.

“Tesla’s, they’re garbage. He’s conned everybody by believing these electric vehicles are so great, it’s the biggest scam I’ve ever seen in my life.”

“Here’s why they’re inhumane. Because to get all the power for them batteries, you have to mine all of these elements, and that’s all done by child labor.”

“So, people thinking, [they’re] helping the environment, dude, you’re increasing the demand for child labor. Because that’s how all these batteries are made, it’s child labor.”

UFC 281: Poirier v Chandler

Dustin Poirier didn’t mince words when addressing former opponent Michael Chandler in the latest back-and-forth between the UFC lightweights.

The latest altercation stemmed from Chandler suggesting that he’s living in Poirier’s head after the one-time UFC interim lightweight champion addressed him during an appearance on The MMA Hour. During the interview, Poirier mocked Chandler for talking like he’s a savvy UFC veteran after only five fights with the promotion.

“Who the f*ck is ‘we?’” Poirier said. “You just got here, buddy. You’re not one of us. You’re not ‘we.’ I’ve been here. ‘We’re good.’ Who’s we? Welcome to the UFC, dude. You’ve got one win in the UFC. He’s not one of us. I’ve been cutting my teeth in the UFC since January of 2011, 2010. He just got here. Who is we? He’s speaking for the lightweight division? Muscle Milk Mike needs to chill.”

Chandler fired back by saying “dues paid but I’m living rent free.”

When asked to respond, Poirier’s answer was succinct and offered little doubt when it comes to his feelings about the fighter he choked out at UFC 281 back in 2022.

“Man, f*ck Michael Chandler,” Poirier told MMA Fighting on Thursday. “Check your record, buddy. That last ‘L’ two years ago is to the kid right here.”

Chandler hasn’t fought since the night he lost to Poirier as he’s continued to wait for an eventual showdown against Conor McGregor after they were announced as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter back in March 2023.

Sadly for Chandler, the fight still hasn’t materialized as McGregor first had to recover from a broken leg suffered in his own loss to Poirier back in 2021 and then he was dealing with a six-month waiting period before competing after getting back into the UFC’s anti-doping program.

The fight was finally scheduled to take place at UFC 303 in June, but McGregor suffered a broken toe that forced him to drop off the card.

Meanwhile, Chandler remains in limbo as he continues to wait and hope that a new date for the McGregor fight gets announced.

Perhaps one day, Chandler might try to seek vengeance on Poirier in the cage, especially with the Louisiana native hinting at his career continuing despite considering retirement after his loss to lightweight champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 302.

“We’ll see,” Poirier said about his future. “I think I’m going to fight again.”

Mark Coleman is back in the hospital.

Just four months after his house fire heroics left him on life support, “The Hammer” will undergo emergency surgery to address a nasty hip infection. Unfortunately for the retired UFC hall of famer, the procedure has been delayed due to his medication.

“Back in the hospital again,” Coleman told his Instagram followers. “My hip is septically infected. They were going to do emergency surgery today, but I’m blood thinners so they’re going to have to wait until Monday. So I’m going to hang out here for the weekend. Everything’s going to be fine.”

Shortly after Coleman’s recovery from the deadly blaze back in March, the promotion tapped “The Hammer” to present the “BMF” belt at UFC 300. No word yet on how long the former UFC champ will be sidelined with his latest issue.

“Life is good,” Coleman insisted. “God always has a plan.”

MMA: Mixed Martial Arts

UFC 207: Nunes v Rousey
Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images

Ronda Rousey doesn’t feel like she would receive a warm welcome if she ever made an appearance at a UFC event, but that reception won’t determine if she ever goes to another fight or not.

In turns out there are a couple very specific circumstances that would lure Rousey back to attend a UFC show, but it has nothing to do with testing the waters to see how she would be received by fans.

“It’s just one of those things, I don’t want to go to a stadium full of people for fun,” Rousey told CBS Sports. “I’d rather be out on my farm or the beach or something else like that. I think I’d just have to have a reason to go. If my kids end up fighting or something like that or someone that I ended up coaching ends up fighting, I would go. It’s not really my scene anymore.

“When I was younger, I wanted to put on a hot dress and go to the fights and hang out with everybody and now I’m kind of just like an old lady that wants to sit home and sip tea. Plus, I wouldn’t want to go just to be like ‘I wonder how people are going to react to me.’ I would want to have a reason to go or something.”

These days, Rousey’s main priority are the kids she shares with husband and former UFC fighter Travis Browne.

She still practices martial arts from time to time and she’s actually teaching Browne’s former coach Ricky Lundell about the art of judo, but he’s currently her only student. Eventually, Rousey says she will teach her kids martial arts if for no other reason that it’s good to know self-defense, but she also won’t argue with them if they decided to follow in their parents’ footsteps to become a fighter.

“If they wanted to [fight], I would do everything that I could to make sure they’re as great as possible, but I would never push them towards it,” Rousey said. “You can’t make somebody fight. It’s something that’s inside of you that you can’t help.

“I’ll make sure they know how to fight because it’s a survival skill, and I think it builds a lot of discipline. It’s very character developing and all of that. Whether or not they want to compete, it’s up to them.”

If that day comes where one of her children decides to become a fighter, or if Rousey expands to add more students to her martial arts curriculum, then she would be there for them no matter what.

That includes attending a UFC event but otherwise don’t expect to see Rousey in the crowd any time soon.

“I would want to have a reason to go or something. We’ll see. I’ll play it by ear,” Rousey said. “If my kids want to fight, they would end up being like absolutely incredible.

“That’s kind of how my mom got dragged back into judo and stuff like that. She quit judo and never went to a tournament again. Then I got into it, and she was very much involved in it again. If my kids, or the kids from my dojo end up getting into it, then I would have a reason.”

UFC standout Bryce Mitchell claims 9/11 was an inside job carried out by 'rich white politicians'

Bryce Mitchell believes 9/11 was an inside job. In other news, water is still wet.

Despite carrying a solid 16-2 record in mixed martial arts, the 29-year-old Mitchell has become best known for his irrational rants regarding religion, politics, homosexuality, space, and a slew of other nonsensical conspiracy theories he’d love to tell you about in great length.

Bryce Mitchell

During a recent appearance on the PBD Podcast with Patrick Bet-David, ‘Thug Nasty’ was asked a seemingly simple question that he promptly turned into an opportunity to claim that the horrific terrorist attack that took down the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, was orchestrated by the U.S. government.

“When I was 16, that’s when the biggest revelation, besides Jesus Christ, that I’ve ever had happened to me,” Mitchell said. “Based upon my own research because I am a source of information, and even though they don’t let you cite yourself, I am a valid source of information. I don’t do no bullsh*t. I tell the truth and if I don’t know it’s true, I won’t say it.

“I’m telling you, I know and I knew when I was 16 that our government orchestrated 9/11 and brought them towers down. I know it. Our government, white people — rich white politicians, not brown people with box cutters. I’m telling you, white people brought down them Twin Towers.“

9/11 claimed the lives of 2,996 people and was the worst terror attack to ever take place on American soil.

Bryce Mitchell Has not booked a return date since his brutal kO loss in December

After kickstarting his career in the Octagon with five straight wins, Bryce Mitchell has lost two of his last three. In his last outing, ‘Thug Nasty’ suffered one of the scariest knockouts in UFC history after absorbing an earth-shattering right hand from KO artist Josh Emmett at UFC 296.

It was an especially disturbing scene as Mitchell began to convulse on the canvas while unconscious. Fortunately, the Arkansas native made a full recovery but is yet to book his next bout.

UFC middleweight veteran Paul Craig was left confused by Joe Pyfer’s agitated callout following his UFC 303 victory.

Pyfer made a statement in his return to the win column late last month at the International Fight Week pay-per-view, bouncing back from his first UFC setback in emphatic and violent fashion.

Months on from a decision defeat to Jack Hermansson in their UFC Fight Night main event at the Apex, “Bodybagz” was back putting his finishing ability on full display at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, where he stopped Canada’s Marc-André Barriault in less than 90 seconds.

In the aftermath, a fired up Pyfer set his sights back on securing a place in the middleweight top 15, this time by targeting the formerly ranked Paul Craig.

More than just a random callout, the New Jersey native revealed a grudge he’s held for months as the motive behind his desire to share the cage with the Scottish vet.

“He just looked at me weird one time and I don’t even think he remembers, but I hold grudges, so f*ck him,” Pyfer said at the UFC 303 post-fight press conference. “I don’t like the dude. That’s the only thing I can say is I don’t really like the guy. There’s something about his f*cking face. It’s also his antics. He gets in your face and be all theatrical, but then he gets touched, and he falls on to the ground like a back princess.

“I think it makes sense, too. Logistically, I think it makes sense. He was number 14, and then he fought Caio (Borralho) and lost. I don’t know where he’s at, if 15 or just outside the rankings, and I’m number 19, so let’s line it up,” Pyfer continued. “That’s what I’m interested in, so why not?”

Craig Bemused By Pyfer’s Reasoning For ‘Disliking’ Him

During a recent episode of his Leather’d Podcast, Craig was shown Pyfer clarifying his reasoning behind calling him out during an appearance on The MMA Hour.

The clip showed “Bodybagz” recalling crossing paths with Craig while in attendance at Boston’s TD Garden for UFC 292 last August. Pyfer appeared offended not to have been given some sort of nod of respect from “Bearjew.”

Suffice to say, Craig was baffled by that justification.

“I don’t (know who he is). A guy nods at me, ‘What the f*ck, who is this guy?’” Craig said. “So what was it, in Boston I didn’t give him a nod? That’s f*cking — this guy’s f*cked in the head (laughs). Man, if that’s what gets you hard.

“So he’s been since Boston thinking about this, ‘This guy never gave me a nod. How could he do that?!’ Like, who the f*ck are you?” Craig continued. “It was a good knockout (at UFC 303). Gotta give him props for that.”

It remains to be seen whether Pyfer will get the opportunity to settle what appears to be a firmly one-sided feud, and one which Craig didn’t even know existed until a couple of weeks ago.
